The Genesis Scottish Open, the third Rolex Series event of the 2022 DP World Tour season, which is co-sanctioned by the PGA TOUR, will see a global field gather at the Renaissance Club in East Lothian from 7-10 July. Two weeks later, from 21-24 July, Gleneagles will host the Senior Open Presented by Rolex for the first time when the iconic Scottish venue welcomes Europe’s only Senior Major Championship in 2022. 

The third championship included in the Scottish Summer Golf Pass is the AIG Women’s Open from 4-7 August, as Muirfield in East Lothian hosts the world’s best golfers for the final Major Championship of the LET and LPGA seasons.

The three championships are part of an incredible summer of golf in Scotland, with six tournaments over five weeks in July and August, also including The 150th Open at St Andrews, the Hero Open at Fairmont St Andrews and the Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open at Dundonald Links.

Mal: Herzlichen Glückwunsch! Die WINSTONgolf Senior Open – das einzige Turnier der
Legends Tour auf deutschem Boden – wird zum 10. Mal ausgetragen. Der 2002 eröffnete
Meisterschaftsplatz WINSTONopen feiert im nächsten Jahr demnach 20-jähriges Bestehen.
Die beste Kombination überhaupt, um die europäischen Top-Spieler der Senioren-Tour den
deutschen Golffans zu präsentieren. Ob auch der deutsche Ausnahmegolfer Bernhard
Langer seine 5. Teilnahme bestätigen wird, steht derzeit noch nicht fest.

„Wir sind froh, schon jetzt unsere Jubiläumsveranstaltung verkünden zu können. Auch wenn
noch nichts in Stein gemeißelt ist, laufen die ersten Planungen und Vorbereitungen. Die
häufigste Frage, nämlich die, ob Bernhard Langer kommen wird, können wir zum jetzigen
Zeitpunkt noch nicht mit Gewissheit beantworten. Nur so viel: Wir arbeiten mit Hochdruck
daraufhin, dass unser Turnierwochenende im nächsten Jahr in jeglicher Hinsicht ein
Highlight wird. Natürlich setzen wir alles daran, dass neben anderen hochkarätigen Namen
auch der WINSTONgolf Botschafter Bernhard Langer Teil des Spielerfeldes sein wird. Eine

Das Profi-Golfturnier mit Eventcharakter: Stars live und hautnah erleben
So nah kommen Zuschauer normalerweise nicht an die Profispieler heran. Bei den
WINSTONgolf Senior Open können Jung und Alt vom Golfanfänger bis zum passionierten
Golfspieler bereits auf der Driving Range und sogar auf dem Platz auf Tuchfühlung mit den
Legenden der Golfszene gehen. Der Eintritt zum Turniergelände ist an allen Turniertagen
frei, zudem stehen ausreichend kostenlose Zuschauer-Parkplätze zur Verfügung.

Gespielt wird das bedeutende Golfevent der Ü50 Tour im Dunhill-Format, d. h. am Freitag
und Samstag des Turniers geht jeweils ein Profi mit einem Amateur als Team auf die Runde.
Es werden drei Runden ohne Cut gespielt. Das Finale am Sonntag absolvieren die 60 Profis
unter sich, wenn es um das Gesamtpreisgeld von 350.000 Euro geht. Der Sieger erhält allein
einen Scheck über 51.693 Euro.

Der Ticketverkauf für Made in Denmark 2022 hat begonnen. Der Wunsch, dem Publikum noch bessere Erlebnisse zu bieten, ist der Hauptgrund dafür, dass das Turnier die Anzahl der Tickets deutlich begrenzt hat.

Oftmals ist das Ziel großer Sportveranstaltungen, die Zuschauerzahlen zu erhöhen, doch Made in HimmerLand hat sich entschieden, den anderen Weg zu gehen und stattdessen weniger Tickets als bisher zu verkaufen, um den Zuschauern ein noch besseres Erlebnis zu bieten.

„2021 mussten wir aufgrund von Restriktionen nur 2.000 Zuschauer zulassen, und obwohl es keineswegs ein Wunschszenario war, haben wir viel daraus gelernt. Nicht zuletzt, dass wir den Zuschauern ein viel besseres Erlebnis bieten können, indem wir weniger Leute einlassen“, erklärt der CEO & Promoter des Turniers, Flemming Astrup.

Bessere Bedingungen und neue Erfahrungen

„Uns war wichtig, dass es für die allermeisten noch möglich ist, die weltbesten Golfer im HimmerLand zu erleben. Obwohl es sich also um eine Preiserhöhung handelt, ist es immer noch ein sehr vernünftiger Preis sowohl im Vergleich zu den Zuschauerpreisen bei anderen Golfturnieren als auch mit den Preisen für Eintrittskarten für Sportveranstaltungen, Festivals und andere Veranstaltungen, bei denen Sie als Zuschauer Zugang zu mehreren haben Tage mit Weltklasse-Erlebnissen, sagt Flemming Astrup.

Er ist sich auch sicher, dass das Turnier trotz weniger Zuschauern unter anderem an Loch 16, dem sogenannten HimmerLand Hill, eine fantastische Kulisse schaffen wird.

„Es ist ein wichtiger Teil der Identität des Turniers und wird es auch in Zukunft sein. Im Gegenzug bedeutet die Entscheidung für weniger Zuschauer, dass wir uns viel besser auf das Turnier selbst vorbereiten können und unter anderem kostenlose und bessere Parkbedingungen, eine bessere Verpflegung und mehr Platz für die Zuschauer bieten. Gleichzeitig können wir den Zugang zu bisher für Sponsoren reservierten Bereichen öffnen, darunter das „weltberühmte“ Heineken-Zelt, das von Loch 14 zum 16. Abschlag und zur Restaurantterrasse am 1. und 18. grün“, sagt Flemming Astrup.

Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the DP World Tour today announced free general admission tickets for all tournament days of the 2022 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship at Yas Island, the opening Rolex Series event of the season from January 20-23.

To celebrate Yas Links Abu Dhabi hosting the 17^th edition of the prestigious tournament for the first time, fans will have the opportunity to witness the world class field in person for free, including four-time Major Champion Rory McIlroy and recently crowned DP World Tour Number One Collin Morikawa.

The iconic Yas Links course heralds a new chapter for an event which has long been an important fixture on the global golf schedule and continues to bring the game’s biggest stars to world class destinations in the UAE.

Tickets for the Betfred British Masters hosted by Danny Willett will go on sale on Thursday December 9, with pre-registered fans given priority access to a limited number of tickets available for an exclusive Launch Price.

The Betfred British Masters returns to the historic Belfry, venue of the Ryder Cup on four occasions, from May 5-8, 2022, with 2016 Masters Tournament champion Danny Willett assuming the role of host once again.

Tickets will go on sale for the 2022 edition on Thursday December 9, beginning with a limited number of Launch Price tickets available to pre-registered fans, from 11:00am. Tickets will then go on general sale at 5:00pm later that afternoon.

The Betfred British Masters returned to The Belfry earlier this year, with the Sutton Coldfield venue hosting the tournament for a fifth time. It has previously hosted 18 European Tour events since 1979.

Fans hoping to access the priority window can register their interest here, including information regarding premium experiences which will also be available to view and purchase online from Thursday.

Since the Betfred British Masters was restored to the Tour’s International Schedule in 2015, it has been hosted by some of British golf’s leading players, starting with Ian Poulter at Woburn, followed by Luke Donald at The Grove (2016), Lee Westwood twice at Close House (2017 and 2020), Justin Rose at Walton Heath (2018) and Tommy Fleetwood at Hillside (2019).

Last year, Richard Bland ended a near 20-year wait for his first title as he defeated Italy’s Guido Migliozzi in a play-off to win on his 478^th start. The victory kickstarted a career renaissance for the Englishman, who went on to finish a career-high 11^th on the season-long standings.

Betfred, the UK-based bookmakers, will be the title sponsor of the tournament for a fourth consecutive year.

Auch der dreimalige Ryder-Cup-Champion Paul Casey trug sich 2019 in die illustre Siegerliste ein und wird 2022 erneut versuchen, diesen für ihn besonderen Erfolg zu wiederholen.
