Legends Tour statement on the MCB Tour Championship – Mauritius

The Legends Tour today confirms that the MCB Tour Championship – Mauritius, which was due to take place from December 10-12, has been rescheduled to March 25-27, 2022, due to the ongoing effects of Covid-19.

The inaugural Legends Tour season was due to conclude at Constance Belle Mare Plage next month, however the tenth anniversary of the MCB Tour Championship will now take place in March 2022. It will remain the final counting event on the 2021 Legends Tour Order of Merit.

Phil Harrison, Chief Executive of the Legends Tour, said: “We were all looking forward to the MCB Tour Championship in Mauritius next month, however it is has become clear that we would be unable to celebrate the event’s tenth anniversary in the manner it deserves due to the restrictions which are currently in place.

“The decision to reschedule the event was taken in agreement with our partners MCB, Constance Hotels and the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority and we will now work towards the new date in March.”

The Celebrity Series Grand Final, which was due to take place at Constance Belle Mare Plage on Tuesday December 7, has also been rescheduled to Tuesday March 22.
